No Need To Panic Buy Cat Collars...

OK, now we don't wish to incite any panic buying, but we've heard that there could potentially be a country-wide cat collar shortage over the coming weeks. This is due to the risk of strike by, um, the people who put the jingly bit inside the bells...

We do NOT want you to queue around the block to buy a collar, but recommend you replenish your supply gradually over the coming days, perhaps from a convenient website? It may also be prudent to consider stockpiling some collars SAFELY in your house, garage or other outbuilding...

Mr J Bloggs from, erm, London, told us "I'm already worried. I have three cats that need to be looking smart ready for the Diamond Jubilee, what on earth am I meant to do now? I'm going to get up at 6am tomorrow and drive around in a panic and possibly get in a fight with the Siamese breeder across the road over the last designer collars in the city..."

Oh dear...

  1. The most important function of standard cat collars is holding identification tags. These will tell people your cat's name, your name, address, phone number, and even your veterinarian's location, in case an injury should occur. Especially for outdoor cats, who often wander far from home and don't return for dinner, it's important for them to carry ID tags.
